Anniversary and particularly the Ministerial Institute. |
| Strategy: |
Focus on the 40th reunion of CTS class who
participated in the Selma March with Martin Luther
King. The participants in that march were a
wonderful demonstration of just how transforming a CTS education is. The Ministerial Institute was then presented as an opportunity for today’s students to experience this kind of education for themselves. |
| Results: |
The UCC News did a front page story on the reunion and the Institute as did several other papers. The article featured a photo from the CTS archives showing a very young Jesse Jackson Sr. lunching in Selma with his CTS classmates before the march. |
