Client: MBNA America

Objective: To introduce MBNA's unique Benedictine program to corporate decision makers.

Strategy: Create a tri-fold brochure to accompany a video about a special Community service program at MBNA. The bank set up the program to give the mentally disabled students of the Benedictine School an opportunity to make their place as functioning adults in the community.

MBNA hired 20 or more Benedictine students a year for various jobs in the company such as file clerks, messengers, and on the cleaning crew. Each participant was assisted by a department mentor and lived on the bank's campus in a group home that was supported by the bank.

This program was very successful at MBNA and its Board of Directors hoped to encourage other corporations to follow the company's example.

Results: Since this project was non-profit generating, the brochure was designed to keep production costs low. Still, it conveyed the enthusiasm, energy and professionalism of the program participates.
